Vintage Prosecco is worlds apart from the inferior supermarket styles people have become accustom to in recent years. La Farra produce their wines slap bang in the middle of the Valdobbiadene region in Veneto, at the heart of the Prosecco superiore area. Owned by the three Nardi brothers and their sister they have been making Prosecco and sparkling wines seemingly forever and yet it is only in the last 20 years that they have started bottling wine under their own name and are now one of the most respected in the region. Their Brut Millesimato (Vintage) is just brilliant, real, hand-made wine, beautifully balanced with intense notes of freshly sliced green apple, ripe pear, tangy citrus and final flurry of white flower aromatic on a rich bed of tiny bubbles.
