Description
Raboso del Piave is ancient native grape, typically found in the Eastern Veneto region of Italy where it has been cultivated since the 17th Century. Italo Cescon have mastered this rare grape variety producing a very refined wine that is dry, yet with a marked freshness and defined fruit character of Morello cherry sighting alongside aromatic vanilla lead spice on the palate. It continues to develop with each sip, the oak begins emerge with woody spice, this wine spends nearly three years in oak barrels prior to release which adds continuous layers of complexity. Rare, captivating stuff, best served with roasted game dishes.
