Description
One bottle each of the following wines;
Danese ‘Red Label’ Bardolino DOC
This is a very classic style of Bardolino, it’s beautifully made, light-medium bodied with lovely definition of fruit, fresh cherries and plum before crisp acidity break through on the palate. The palate is incredibly refreshing with tons of soft fruit and a whisper of spice. If you’re looking for a red that isn’t too heavy and you haven’t tasted Bardolino, this is the place to start!
Casalforte Corvina
A beautiful red made with Corvina grapes from the Eastern hills of Verona. Bursting with aromas of black cherries, blackberry, subtle vanilla & sweet spices. Soft, complex and well balanced, this is incredible value.
Uggiano ‘La Scoperta’ Chianti Riserva
A bright and characterful, fruit-forward, Chianti Riserva from the Uggiano estate south of Florence. Six months ageing in large oak casks gives a nicely mature wine with impressive depth of flavour for this price level. Ripe red berry aromas with a touch of spice. On the palate layers of fresh plum, blackcurrant and juicy red cherry balance spicy, developed flavours. A well-structured, complex and authentic Riserva with rounded tannins and a generous, peppery finish.
