Description
A rare and unique blend from Bodegas Tritium, the combination of 50% Garnacha and 50% Mazuelo (Know as Carignan in France) is a huge break from tradition in the Rioja region. Despite the fact it’s so rarely seen the blend works incredibly well, resulting in a deep, complex wine with layers of dark berry fruit, vanilla lead oak spice and a rich chocolatey note on the finish. The balance and poise on show here is magnificent, full-bodied yes, but with a streak of freshness that makes the wine so approachable. This should have its place in any genuine enthusiasts collection such is the quality and rarity of the blend.
