This is an interesting proposition, Sancerre with more than 10 years bottle age… Usually Sauvignon Blanc’s are built for early drinking but we decided to experiment a little and see how this sensational example from Domaine Michel Girard aged over a longer than normal period of time. It’s held up amazingly well, clean, mineral and still fresh with ripe aromatic citrus and herbaceous green aromatics before a saline finish.
