Description
Chateau Ricardelle is an historic estate in the Languedoc region of Southern France. Its prestigious name can be found mentioned as far back as 1342 and to this day continues to produce some of the regions finest wines. ‘La Clape’ refers to a small appellation in the Languedoc, famed for it’s limestone soils and stunning wines. The Rouge is built from a blend of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah and exudes the character and terroir of the Languedoc. Dark fruited, rich and supple with refined yet powerful notes of black cherry and blackberry before a dash of red fruits kiss the palate. The finish is long, with more layers of complexity, now there’s green herbs, woody spice and liquorice. One of the most impressive reds we’ve tasted from this region. Serve along side a rack of lamb for the perfect pairing.
