We love this 100% Merlot from Haut Sociondo, just sat in the glass it looks delicious with a deep, dark almost black intensity. The palate is soft, full bodied and rich with decadent summer fruits sitting alongside spiced vanilla, dark chocolate subtle oak. The finish is long with structured tannins and the sweet oak influence beginning to take charge. This is a beautifully made wine that has all the right credentials to age gracefully over the coming 8-10 years. Well worth buying a couple of cases, one for the cellar and one to drink now.
