Mâcon-Loché is a small appellation in Maconnais, Southern Burgundy. The wines from this region are a bit of hidden gem with its more prominent neighbours like Pouilly-Fuisse taking the headlines. But that’s a good thing, because it means the wines from Pouilly-Loche are sensational value for money. A beautifully layered Chardonnay with flowers, acacia, peach, lemon and quince. An incredibly elegant wine with a clean, mineral finish. The quality, complexity and balance is just magnificent, classic Burgundy made in an approachable style.
