We have to hold our hands up and admit we were wrong…. Although we love absolutely Picpoul here at Liquid Indulgence, the general consensus was that they all have a very similar flavour profile, with little to separate one from another, that was until we tasted this example from Bellemare. It still retains the hallmarks of a classic Picpoul, lively on the palate with crisp citrus and that incredible minerality you would expect from this grape variety but there’s an added layer of complexity we haven’t come across with Picpoul before, it’s a little richer, the fruit is more rounded with a more succulent flavour profile. The prestigious Decanter Wine magazine awarded this one 92 Points, high praise indeed, we’re stocking up whilst we can!
