This is one hell of a Rioja from Ilurce! The ‘Angel’ is made from 100% Garnacha grapes picked from 50 year old vines across tiny plots in ‘La Casilla del Rihuelo’ and ‘Serrano’ in the village of Alfaro. The resulting wine is rich, complex and intense with layered flavours of luscious red fruit, aromatic thyme and toasted notes of spiced oak and vanilla. Great wine from a great vintage in Rioja, stocks are now very low, stock up whilst you can.
