Italo Cescon | Piave, Italy

Italo Cescon Winery is a family-owned winery founded in 1957 by Italian winemaker Italo Cescon in the Piave wine area of northern Italy. After returning from military service, Cescon began producing and bottling his own wines—an uncommon practice in the region at the time—focusing on local grape varieties such as Raboso, Manzoni Bianco, and Pinot Grigio. Following a major flood of the Piave River in 1966, the winery moved to Ormelle, where it expanded and began exporting internationally. Today the estate is run by the founder’s children and remains known for blending traditional Veneto winemaking with modern techniques, as well as for its distinctive bottles decorated with a small vine twig tied around the neck.
