“Italian wine has been a passion for me and over the years we have taken customers on vineyard tours to Italy to enjoy the country and its wines.
One of our latest winery discoveries is the Turina family who own superb vineyards in the Lugana region, south of Lake Garda.
Moniga del Garda is where you’ll find a grape variety called Marzemino, a very unusual wine which I recommend you try. Presented in an eye-catching bottle it has an impressive spicy full-bodied taste, bursting with superb red fruits and light notes of herbs. It was in fact Mozart’s favourite wine.
The Lugana ‘DOC’ wine arises from the ld wine variety, Trebianno di Lugana, grown on lead clay soils, mostly calcareous and rich in mineral salts. Only these soils give this wine its feature of freshness and sapidity. The taste is dry and exceptionally delicate with strong varietal aromas of almond and white peach.
Turina del Garda Chiaretto Rosé. A very delicate dry blush rosé with a pleasant bouquet and again flavours of almond come to mind. Enjoy”.
