Fine-tuned and accomplished Graves from an historic producer. Crunchy, hedgerow fruit with fine balance, medium, well-judged tannins, very drinkable and fresh on the finish. This red has a stunning deep colour with lovely aromatics and excellent fruit, especially cherries. It has an attractive freshness and a very smooth rounded palate.
Graves is an important sub-region of the Bordeaux wine region. Graves is situated on the left bank … Graves AOC is also the name of one Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) which covers most, but not all of the Graves sub-region. The name is derived from ‘gravel’ and the best soils are gravel-rich, mixed with sand and occasionally clay. This is the region which first established Bordeaux’s reputation.
