A blend of Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whiskies which underwent a secondary maturation in Mossburn Cask Bill #2.
These were specially built Oloroso Sherry Butts with heavily charred virgin American Oak heads which enhance the richness, depth and spicy vanilla flavours.
Clean light sherry and oaky spice on the nose with vanilla and heathery notes coming through as it develops in the glass. The heavily charred barrel ends and oloroso influence have combined to give a rich flavour without any sense of a cloying or over-sweetened profile. Light citrusy spice, white pepper and a touch of exotic fruit come to the front before the sherry influence rolls it all back together again.
