TURINA MONIGA DEL GARDA MARZEMINO 2019 (ITALY)

TURINA MONIGA DEL GARDA MARZEMINO 2019 (ITALY)

Lake Garda for wine lovers. A fabulous and spicy full-bodied red. ‘Mozart’s’ favourite wine.

Moniga Del Garda IGT. 100% Marzemino grapes.  Made in Manebra del Garda by the Turina family. Marzemino is a late ripening and dark skinned black coloured grape and one of the most exclusive grapes used in the production of red wine. Only 10 days contact with the skins during maceration. The palate shows ripe red fruits with light notes of herbs. The taste is intense, sapid, spicy and full bodied. This is a very unusual wine that you must try. This was Mozart’s favourite wine!!!

Food recommendations: Pairs very well with rich pasta dishes and well-aged cheeses.

Description

The wine cellar Turina is a family farm devoted to the cultivation of wine and olive-trees over many generations; at present it is managed by three brothers: Paolo, Luigi and Dario.
It was grandfather Luigi, who ventured into the first wine-making, confident that from the “Groppello”, native of Valtenesi, a wine would be obtained, appreciated by the customers for its tasty equilibrium and particularly fine qualities.

Nowadays, almost a hundred years later, it is still the “Groppello” that keeps the passion for wine-growing alive among the Turina brothers. Yearly, about 150.000 bottles of great DOC Garda Classico wines are produced from the 18 hectares of vineyard in Valtènesi, cultivated in absolute consideration for the environment, together with a more moderate bottle production quantity of extra-virgin olive oil.

The modern wine-making cellar, bottling and refinement, result of a series of investments started by father Gaudenzio in 1974, overlooks the road that connects Desenzano with Salò.
