Elegance in wine. Handcrafted wines are grown on the steep slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain in South Africa’s most famous region of Stellenbosch. The wines are crafted in the Zorgvliet cellar, which is one of the most technologically advanced cellars in South Africa.
Zorgvliet Wines has been under the ownership of the Van der Merwe’s since 2002. It is a family-owned business, with family values. Seven kilometres outside Stellenbosch in the heart of the Winelands you will find a place of serenity and ultimate beauty. This is a small 200,000-bottle winery in Banghoek, on the Helshoogte Pass between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. It’s pronounced ‘Sorg-fleet’, which roughly translates to ‘no worries’, and that sentiment carries itself through all they do.
The Zorgvliet Family has a unique sense of history and place. They believe that true world-class status is only achieved when we combine the traditions of their local community with exceptional service.
