RAVANAL WINES – Centennial Vineyards give life to sophisticated and elegant wines.
The Colchagua Valley was the place that Don Mario Ravanal, with a great vision, chose to start the Ravanal style tradition. A privileged area that, due to its climate and geographical characteristics, turns out today to be an ideal place for the production of wine grapes with a great oenological potential.
Colchagua, which in the indigenous language means “Valley of small lagoons”, is one of the most prestigious and well-known wine regions in Chile. It is located between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes Mountains, ideal for the production of fine wines, due to its excellent natural conditions.
Ravanal vineyards are located in the town of Placilla, whose main geographical features are that both south and north are crossed by transverse mountain ranges where the Tinguiririca river moves. This results in it having a moderation in extreme temperatures and very good thermal oscillation to develop high quality grapes, allowing it to produce robust red wines of excellent body with a great persistence and elegant white wines of great aromatic intensity.
