Irmana Grillo is produced in the hills of central-western Sicily, hinterland of the province of Trapani, which is between 200 and 300 metres above sea level. Ideal area for Grillo variety. Harvested by hand during the second half of September. Aged in the bottle until February. Grillo is a traditional Sicilian grape whose modern potential has been recognized by the island’s young generation of winemakers, who are bottling it in styles ranging from bright and savoury to structured and mature. Grillo is one of the best known Sicilian grapes.
